Anusara® Yoga teachers have a reputation for excellence and are known for being one the most highly trained and respected Yoga teachers in the world. Anusara Yoga, developed by John Friend (www.anusara.com), is based on a life affirming philosophy, revolutionary alignment techniques and a strong sense of kula (community).
The Anusara Yoga Teacher Training offers a comprehensive curriculum in two parts totaling 100 hours. The prerequisite is the 100 Anusara Yoga Immersion. When both programs are successfully completed through Kirk Yoga, LLC; then you receive a Kirk Yoga, LLC 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training Certificate. Our Kirk Yoga, LLC program is Yoga Alliance registered at the 200 Hour level and is licensed with the State of Arizona.

Our Program:
In this 100 Hour Anusara Yoga Teacher Training, you will learn the key skills required to become an extraordinary Anusara Yoga teacher. You will unlock the mystery of how to easily and masterfully create inspiring themes and how to seamlessly weave them throughout class. You will practice verbal and physical adjustments, skillful language, effective demonstrations and great sequencing. Students will have ample hands-on teaching practice in a supportive environment to help build your gain confidence to express your own authentic voice in the world of yoga. This training brings together all the aspects of great teaching.
In this training you will learn and practice:
- Establishing the seat of the teacher
- Teaching with Anusara language
- Observation and teaching to what you see
- Common misalignments
- Verbal and physical adjustments
- Class planning
- Skillful use of heart themes and metaphors
- Clear and effective demonstrations of poses
- Excellent sequencing and how to build to an apex pose
- Instructing with the breath
- Teaching mixed level classes
- Modifications for common injuries
- Ample teaching practice with partners, small and large groups
- Enjoy a safe and highly supportive environment
Pre–requisites:
– 100 Hour Anusara Yoga Immersion minimum with Kirk Yoga, LLC or elsewhere with a certified Anusara yoga teacher
– Applicants must have completed the Immersion graduate quizzes on the physical and philosophical aspects of Anusara yoga
